View Full Version : Minuteman Missile Test...my incoming pic

A couple days ago Vandenburg launched the Minuteman III, an Intercontintental Missile, some 4000 miles out to our lagoon. Pretty sweet getting to see it blaze at us through the night sky.

I was able to get an ok pic over our tiny island..

It's funny that they were making a huge deal about this all over the news on how some random unidentified missile was launched out of Cali...

It's definitely a cool thing to see and be a part of. I'll find out in a couple days whether or not I'm keeping my contract. If I don't I'll be back in Colo right in time for riding season :) If I stay I'm halfway done and will be back in Sept. I'll just have to suffer through another 6 months of diving and playing golf all week long.....

That is pretty cool. Hopefully you keep your contract, it must suck having to dive and golf all week, but someone's gotta do it, right?

lol I didn't even notice that. I searched for the most recent videos and that popped up. Guess thats why I couldn't figure out what the big deal was. Oh well, same missile.

I do think its funny how 'merica just randomly launches off missiles as we please...but any other country try it and we'll punish them.

You must not be real aware of what goes on worldwide. Because people are launching stuff daily.

I'm not too sure about that one. I know that there are missiles all over the world but nothing I'd ever be worried about living in America, unless Canada pulls a fast one on us.

Technology has become so damn advanced that you can't do anything secretly anymore. I've been told about top secret missions and turned around and found everything about everything posted online in the news days before the mission. Shit you can almost google street view the camp I was at in Iraq. Theres no hiding anything anymore. There are eyes in the sky from every country.
