Denninger (http://www.market-ticker.org/) posted a link to this exchange between an Irish reporter and someone from the European Central Bank. If we only had reporters doing that over here, the public might have a better idea of how they have been asset stripped by the banking industry, in cahoots with the politicians in DC.

When you have politicians promising financial things to the public that can't be delivered without deficit spending financed by the bankers, you end up with the financial shitstorm that is unfolding worldwide. I can easily see all of this erupting into a global military conflict, and Europe is a powder keg.
