I highly highly doubt they will be renamed, VW owns Lamborghini and Bugatti which weren't renamed.

On my third VW now. Almost 11 years of very decent reliability. I like the brand.

Oh no...they're gonna standardize the Duc's on a 2.0T engine... all models will have the same frame with minor changes so they can classify them as different models... all of which will absurdly heavy... LOL

Maybe VW will be in some designers/engineers that can figure out how to fix the dreaded leaky gas tank that plagues numerous Ducati models....

Actually Porsche owns VW. Well, technically, they have merged but the folk at Porsche call the shots.

Not sure why people think vw is going to mess up ducati. VW has Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley and Porsche as high performance brands. Think they know a thing our two about building good vehicles.

Could've been worse... But maybe this will give Ducati more capital to develop new bikes.

No. That was the case 3 years ago. Until Porsche got in trouble with the legalities of it. Now VW is buying the rest of the shares in Porsche for a proper takeover.

They may be moving in that direction. But right now, Porsche owns 50.73% of VW and VW owns 49.9% of Porsche. Actually, VW doesn't even own itself. But Porsche is 90% family owned. All this business mumbo jumbo is silly. Let's get back to bashing VW for saving Ducati. ;)
