It's fake. He racked the gun after the "misfire" and no shell ejected. If there was one it would have and you can see and hear that it's a full rack (no jam).

Just because it's a shotgun doesn't mean it hits everything. Our 9-pellet buckshot, through a short-barrel shotgun, at 25 yards will put every pellet on a human sized target with ease. At 15 yards they'll be tighter than a baseball.
