Sucks to hear man. I've been hit with a few IED's in my day as well. I used to be in 1-12IN 4ID 4BCT before I decided to get out. Still have a few friends in 4ID. Glad to hear your brother is o.k. overall.

My thought are with your brother and his fallen comrade along with the rest of our men/women over there.

Harsh reminder even as a former Marine as I sit there sometimes drinking my Starbucks enjoying the week.

You know, I was just thinking what a challenging week it has been for me, and then I come to read this, and I realize how good I have it because of folks like your brother and his comrades. They are fighting for a just cause. Please send your brother and his unit my sincerest thanks!

I hope your brother will have a speedy and full recovery. In case there are any complications, please let me know as I work with the VA on getting vets qualified for VA Pensions. I usually do not work on service-related injury cases, but would be happy to help as much as I can working through the seemingly endless bureaucracy or refer to folks who have gone through the process and know a lot about it.
