The girl and I went to Playa del Carmen a few months back for a friend’s wedding, but now we want to go back together to an all adult (not necessarily topless) all inclusive resort and wanted to see if people have their favorites that they could recommend.

So far we are thinking of Excellence playa Mujeres http://www.excellence-resorts.com/caribbean-and-mexico-destinations/excellence-playa-mujeres (http://www.excellence-resorts.com/caribbean-and-mexico-destinations/excellence-playa-mujeres)

But I’d like to see what others have tried and what they liked or disliked, sine I have only been to that area once and never Cancun. Also post up if you have seen smoking good deal to there.

Secrets @ Maroma Beach

Best vacation I've ever had there. Staff, food, drinks, cleanliness, location, beach... everything was excellent.

http://www.secretsresorts.com/maroma/ Thanks, I will check it out  Hey Zack, when they say "Unlimited premium and domestic brand beverages" did this include alcohol? I want to make sure the resport we choose has free alcohol!

Keep them coming everyone :D

Usually it includes alcohol, but you still have to tip. Varies by resort, some may include tip?...

I just priced out a vacation with airfare and defecated myself. I could buy a really nice bike for that price.

I know this isn't what you asked, but I am going to throw it out there anyway, just as a possible option.

We have done the all inclusive in Cancun, but our favorite vacation is to go just a bit south of PDC to Tulum. We stay in a hut on the beach, normally only a couple people within a half mile or so and the beach is awesome, white sand and really calm. Its rustic, no electricity, but my wife is pretty high maintenance and absolutely loves it.

The place we have stayed in Cancun has changed its name, I believe it is now the Golden Parnassus? I definately agree with the adults only thing though, so much better than kids running around everywhere.

You have to take a look at Hotel Villa Rolandi. It is on Isla Mujeres, the island just northeast of Cancun. When I stayed there they picked us up at the Airport, drove us to the coast and had a private wood hull boat that took us to a private dock... No way to explain how amazing the experience was. We felt like millionaires.

Isla Mujeres is great. Small little town, a lot of people just cruse golf carts or mopeds. If you dont want the party/tourist side of Cancun then this is the place for you.

Nate - My wife and I went there on our Honeymoon. Friggen Spec-Tacular!!! I really can't say enough about that place, all inclusive of all alcohol and food. Which includes full bottles of premiums (Jack, Absolute, etc) in your room with mixers in the fridge. 24 hour room service, 7 restaurants on site, great pools, dance club, everything. We are planning to go back as soon as possible.

I have not been to others in Mexico, but I can't imagine a better place.

Oh, 2 free porn channels too. :eyebrows:

It wasn't topless or anything like that.

Went here in February: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g150807-d501418-Reviews-GR_Solaris_Cancun-Cancun_Yucatan_Peninsula.html

First time I've been to Cancun, so I have nothing else to compare it to. There are obviously "better" resorts- but you gotta pay to play. We stayed for 5 nights and had a pretty good time. Food and entertainment are better on the weekend. Staff was cool and tipping goes a long way (even though its all inclusive). They only had Dos XX and Sol for beer (meh). If you tip and go to the bar inside, you can usually get decent booze (Jose, Smirnoff, etc.) I think we paid around $1k per person (including airfare, etc.)...so relatively speaking, it was a good bang for the buck.

Breakfast was always good. Had better coffee though. Lunches are okay-ee (buffet style). Dinners were good if you know what to get. I did get the shitz on our last day:cry:

Edit: Looked at the links above. Whoa! GR Solaris wasn't that nice, ha ha. This place was like a Hampden Inn or something-- decent, clean, affordable. Not to be confused with the Wynn or anything...
