Lol those are based off of mountain bikes but are definitely their own subculture.
I had a guy who lived down the hall from me who had a custom made trials bike and was damned good on it. I practiced daily for 6 months and was able to re-create approximately .001% of what these guys could do... Impressive to watch, even more so after you've tried it!

yeah, man...i've tried to do some of this stuff while i was in college because i had a friend that did it and holy hell...not a chance...

obviously my friend wasnt to this degree but still impressive...
