Went to the Toyota dealer today...

.....to get a quick (2 hr!) oil change at lunch and saw one of these:

I actually sorta fit in it......with my head brushing the headliner, my knees rubbing the bottom the steering wheel and the seat all the way back. Kinda weird little cars. They wanted as much for this little thing than I paid for the Civic EX that the X2 and I bought, and that had a lot more power, a power moonroof etc, and didn't get that much worse mileage. Cute car for those that like "cute cars", but not my thing. Now, if they sold these for less than $10k, then they'd have something.

On the bright side, if you do repo one of these, the chances of them being a "make my day" type with an arsenal that will do anything to stop you are pretty darn small.

Where is the 'economy' buying a $15K 35mpg car when one can get a much better used car for half the price or less. Even if the used car gets 25mpg... you will never save enough on gas in the lifetime of the car to make up the cost difference even when gas prices doubles again.
