Some of you might remember I had an issue last year over Labor Day where my gloves got very wet, and I had to ride in them for over 5 hours afterwards, no matter if I set them on the A/C unit to dry every night, they reeked like nasty sweatsocks my whole trip. That stench, though milder, had persisted until this year, especially when they got even a little sweaty. Well, I didn't get any info from Alpinestars, so I tried something: I took a bucket of cold water, put some dish soap in it, about 1/3 white vinegar, and some hydrogen peroxide, and let the gloves soak for over 5 hours in it, before drying them a little in my dryer, and then letting a fan dry them for over a day. Well, the stench is GONE! WooHoo!
I think mostly the vinegar did the trick. Hey, if the vinegar can take the schtink out of the pink, it should work for gloves! :)
