I'm now looking for 2 T.V.'s!!!

My Sony Bravia that i purchased 3 years ago, started getting pixillated so Costco wrote me a check for the full amount I paid back then...:headbang: Now my 27" huge piece of junk the tube is crapp'n out.

I think it's tough to beat costco, after you factor in the price of warranty & service. BUT, any recommendations out there on where to buy TV's?

I'm not looking for much... a 46"+ wifi & something basic for the bedroom.

Thanks,
John

Costco FTMFW!

Bought my 52", 46", and 32" Sony Bravias there and haven't had an issue.

Some Best Buys are closing, there are two in AZ. They are supposed to be clearing everything out... Here (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505144_162-57414889/best-buy-stores-expected-to-close-permanently/)

The last two TV I have bought were from Paulstv.com (http://www.paulstv.com/). The first time it was through Amazon.com and the second time it was from there store that they opened in Colorado. They do free shipping and have the lowest prices no doubt.

Last year, I got a 60" Sony Bravia direct from sony.com, and it's the best TV I've ever had. Sony gave me a very good price, hauled off my giant old rear-projection TV, and I got the new set before it was even available in stores.

If you want to compare before you buy, I recommend Sam's Club.

Got my Sony DLP from Costco 6 years ago and it still runs like a champ.

Got my 40 inch LCD from Amazon. $450, free shipping. FTW

Agreed... Part of the reason they give you your money back at Costco is because they want you to be happy and the other part is that they want your business.

I find it ridiculous that 2000 dollar TVs last MAYBE 3 years. Consumers shouldn't stand for it.

My 27" Sony Trinitron is as sharp as can be over 15 years later.

PROBABLY... I started to notice pixillation on it & I was 2 yrs 11mo into a 3 year warranty. Let's say I moved quick! After a little song & dance, they cut me a check for the full amount... IT WAS GREAT cuz I can pick up the same tv for $500.00 nowadays!

I'll check out PAULSTV

Thanks Guys!

Our Entertainment room TV was bought at Ultimate Electronics (paid $1,999 after haggling on it and showing a photoshopped ad...LOL) Their asking price was something like $3,000. Of course I also bought a receiver, power station, center channel speak that day too (which I haggled $50 each off what they had them listed for). So they made money on me...but they are out of business now so who knows maybe people like me drove them under.

I've never had a TV just die....

Maybe luck here *cross my fingers*

Last year, I got 46" Samsung LED 120 hertz for $699 + no tax + free shipping from Tigerdirect... I think. Just got a Toshiba 42" LCD for the guest room for $388 + no tax + free shipping from Newegg.

You just gotta look for sales if you wanna save money.

I picked up my 42" Samsung LCD from Amazon last year for $400, free shipping and no tax. But Costco's return policy / warranty is pretty hard to beat

Sam's Club had a free non-members weekend. Went there & just picked up a basic 39" 720 LCD 1080 Magnavox.... About $350.00 after tax & a 3 year warranty. Good enough for the bedroom.

Once the pixillation gets worse or I can't stand it any more, I'll do some big shopping for the LR TV.

That might have been where we got my X's. She got a 50" Samsung plasma 1080P for about $1,200. Really nice picture.

pix-elation?!

Damn... I hate living in a disposable economy/society.

Bought my 50" Phillips plasma 03/2007 for $1K (the K.N. hooked me up). Looks as good today as the day I bought it.

My old 32" tube tv lasted over 10 years through numerous moves before finally crapping out last winter. I doubt I'll ever see that kind of life span again.

The TV I replaced has been in the family a LONG time!! It was my brothers tv in the early 90's, & before that it came from my parents!!!!

I had an old Hitachi B&W TV I bought new in '75 when I was 10, that worked great until the late '90's when the knob started to wear out. Still had the best B&W pic I'd ever seen even when I tossed it. It was an amazing TV.
