I used to have a 04 yz450f dirtbike that was featured in 11' October DirtRider Magazine's "readers ride" article. i traded that dirtbike straight up for the R1. wich at the time had 10k miles. well a few buck's later and here she is. Still need to aquire a headlight assembly and get my tank painted to match exactly to fairings.

Very nice man! And we're very similar sizes... lol 6'2" and at the lowest I've been in years at 280 (was steady at 320 for almost 4 years).
I definitely understand the suspension limitations! My Z doesn't have adjustable front, so I changed out the 10W fork oil for 15W, then adjusted the rear pre-load to 6 of 7 and the damping to 3 of 4 lol.

Nicely done, working the trade for the R1; it's unique, and I like how you kept some of the OEM styling cues/graphics. Enjoyed the article, too! :up:

I'm in... lol You're showing up to the newb/shaking off the dust ride right? I'll be in the intermediate group. I know there are plenty of riders on here better than me, so I won't be pushing any limits that day.

I will be there....my race is on saturday. wil be in carport #7 if you get a chance to swing by. Will be out at imi (if no rain) on sunday also helping someone out.
