Since it started after that "database outage" last Wednesday or Thursday, I'm guessing the mail system got overloaded or forked up, so they took it offline until they fix or get more storage.

Never have actually sub'd to a thread.

Never have actually sub'd to a thread.
It's useful if there are important threads (for sale, meets, etc.), and you want to read new posts (via email) on your smartphone, away from your home/PC.

By sub'd I mean just posting on a thread.

Depends on his settings. Some people have it set to auto-sub to anything you post in. Other people have it set to require manual activation on each thread. He probably doesn't have his set to auto.

Well, it's just more convenient to get an email of new replies instead of digging thru all the threads to see if someone replied to a thread I posted on.
