Chris S. and I are gonna go look at/drool over the new Panigale at Fay before the show. I'm sure Satriani will shred as usual, and this will be the first time I saw Sammy, so it should ba a rockin' show!

Sweet! Satriani is incredible. I've just never seen him live though. The Fillmore is a real nice place to see shows. Way nicer than the ghetto-ish Ogden.

Side-note: My roommate's sister was at the Angels/Mets game the other day. Said Sammy was at the game seated nearby, being a retarded douchebag spectacle. So bad and obnoxious, they had to escort him out, bahahaa!

He's the most amazing guitarist I've yet seen, and I've seen pretty much all of them over the years (including Vai, Petrucci, Malmsteen, Johnson, Van Halen, Clapton, Page, Iommi, etc.). I've seen him a ton over the years, probably 5 times solo, and 4 or more with G3. Either solo, G3, or Chickenfoot is highly recommended. Dooo eeeet! You can probably get tix for tonight still.

Funny about Sammy. Yeah, probably too much of his own takillya!

YNGWEI! Haven't listened since an old cassette tape in the late 80's, lol. Amazing. I heard he sets his guitars up with crazy high action. Very difficult to play, much less play at his level. Must have fingers of steel!

Chickenfoot was awesome! Satriani played a double-necked Ibanez, and do a solo shred on both the 6-string and 12-string necks......wow! Sammy even picked up the guitar for a short solo on one of the songs.

Black Stone Cherry rocked as well.

Insane backup on I-25N on the way to the show was the totaal suck though.

No, and I kind of expected something like that. But they did a great version of Hendrix's "Foxy Lady".
