Tell 'em to be safe. Chances are looking good that Dad is gonna be deployed on a good number of the wildfires this year.

I'm riding up that way tomorrow. Wonder how smokey it'll be on 14. Hope they get this under control before it burns any homes/structures.

Hope they get a handle on this!

But then, we have this moron for your entertainment:

http://www.9news.com/news/article/268194/188/Man-rescued-from-crevice-after-trying-to-get-a-look-at-wildfire-

LARIMER COUNTY - Authorities had to make a high-angle rescue on Tuesday afternoon near the wildfire burning near the Hewlett Gulch Trail in Poudre Canyon (http://www.9news.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=268030). Authorities say Shane Burke, who is from Baltimore, and his friend Steve Dewie hiked up to get a view of the fire. They went up Poudre Canyon from Hewlett Gulch Trail, even though the trail is closed because of the fire.
According to firefighters, the two could not see the fire from their vantage point, so they came down a crevice. Rocks in the crevice came loose and Burke got stuck. Dewie then went to get help from a firefighter.
Larimer County Search and Rescue came in and used ropes from the top of the crevice to put a harness around Burke and pull him out. They had to use 60 feet of rope.
Burke was stuck for a few hours, but was not hurt.

I second that. Bunch of fucking idiots. That's a quick (and shitty) way to die in Colorado.
