Does anyone have a tire changer? My father in-law is looking into getting one and I thought I would check with the masses. I know No-Mar is a good one, they have a Cycle hill one that he's been checking out. The pneumatic one's are nice, but you're looking at $1k+. Thoughts?

Also interested in moto lifts.

No Harbor Freight recommendations please.

I have a lift from K&L that I really like.

No mar is a good changer so long as you follow the no mar procedure exactly. Other than that Coates, Corghi, hunter all make good machines.

I have a Coats 220 machine.
Over the last 20 years it has done 5k tires easy.
There for a while I was doing almost 300 a year for about 5 years.
It is just now starting to wear on the holding jaws.
I have heard good things about the No-Mar, but follow Rybo's advice on the procedures. Almost anything that can hold a wheel secure while one wrestles the tire on and off will work. Some do it better than others, and for that one will pay more for, just like most things in life.

As for a lift I have a Superlift. Got in on a group buy in the mid 00's. Copycat of the Handylift.
Very well constructed, will do and lift anything you want with ease and security.
