yeah i would have to agree with Loopty on this one. GSXR1000 R1 might have all that horse power but the GSXR1000 will still take it.

:-( No full litre Triumph Daytona until 2005. THEN... THEN you just watch out you inline 4 lovers. THEN I will laugh my evil bad-british accented laugh at your peasy one-of-5 billion-bikes :321: MUAAHHHHH HA HA HA HA.

(now watch, Triumph will flake on me something HUGE).

Yeah, they're all the same. But if I had to have one, I'd go Kawi. Just to be different.

You know, I wonder what kind of dyno the magazines use. I.e. if it's a Dynojet they won't even get the same readings with the same bike two runs in a row, so if the bikes come within 5HP of each other you may as well consider them the same since the results are so prone to error.

There is merit in what Sean posted in another topic, about the Factory dynos being 1. more accurate and 2. consistent. If the mags are using a Dynojet model, then these shootouts are really just up to the mood of the machine that day.

(And they're gonna be within 5-7HP of each other anyway so it's all the same... CBR1k tested 1HP higher than the G1k, again I question the results...)

The rest of the bike - i.e. handling, geometry, trick bits, style - those will set them apart. And I think that Kawi is going to give them all a run for their money.

Yamaha may have built another sexy beast, but I have a feeling kawasaki will be a force to be reckoned with this year. Thats where my vote goes...

RR or R1(my two fave Jap bike companines) but it could be surprising! the Gixxer could stay on top! or the Kawi could win everyone over with the raw power I can't wait to read all the reviews! .....

guess ...

I think the RR will have the best engine, like when when it comes to power delivery and tourques at the right places in the rev band. The Kawi will make the most but not as usably.

The the styling part will be between the R1 and the RR, and probably the final nod going to the R1! The Honda and Yamaha will have the best fit and finish! even though I saw the Kawi at the show and it looked awesome even up close.

Either that or they will all try to dodge the bulltet and tell everyone that they will not be disapointed with any of them.

I can't wait to read the latest reviews! I think the honda will not be the most comfi because of the seat while the R1's seat is more conmfi. I kawi's seat was also very good but then I have not hear much complaining about he guixxer's seat recently.

I’d be happy with any of them. Really like the looks of the undertail exhaust though...so R1 or RR.

I am definitely a Yamaha man... but I am REALLY impressed so far with the ZX-10R.

If I had any REAL interest in buying a liter-bike I would seriously have a difficult time between the Kawi and the Yammer. The Kawi fits me better... at least from the little time I got to sit on it at the CW show.

My next bike purchase (aside from some dirtbikes) will be a FJR. :D

GSX-R600 will be the best bike overall, for liters, I'd say R1 for power, CBR for durability, and GSX-R1000 for overall best.
