I've never done it, but according to google maps you take i24 up the mountain to i67 which takes you to a little town called Deckers. 41 miles long each way.

It's a chill ride. Nice canyon. Ice cream at Deckers, you can't lose.

Real simple... From the Springs take 24 to 67. A lil over 20 miles up the road you'll come to a general store. From there either turn around, or take 126 (Deckers Rd) another 10 miles to 285 towards Pine Junction. Then turn around!!!

Enjoy....

Ah cool, I'm coming from Denver though, on 285 (Hampden), West to Pine Junction. Just wondering if there was a nicer route back besides the same way, AND avoiding the dirt road on PineValley (?) No biggie, think I've found some stuff.

If your heading north on 285 from Pine Junction you can hop on S. Turkey Creek Rd. just past Conifer which runs pretty parallel with 285 and ends in Tiny Town. From there cross over 285 and make a left onto Parmalee Gulch (it turns into Myers Gulch) to Bear Creek go right and that'll take you to the MOCO.

Or you can hop onto 73 right past Conifer all the way to the MOCO or shortly after hoping onto 73 make a left onto Shadow Mountain Dr. to Black Mountain Dr. to S. Brook Forest Rd. Which will loop you around and drop you off back onto 73 which you make left onto which leads you to bear Creek Rd. which takes you to the MOCO.

From Denver just reverse it!!

Enjoy!
