I'm looking for a good gunsmith? I need to have the stock on my 308 shortened.
It's a poly stock not sure if it can be done?
If anyone has any idea's or suggestion's that would be a big help.
Thanks

normally you dont want to shave a poly stock ,,
for a number of different reasons ..
safety being foremost as you are affecting the integrity if the design
also cost will be much higher that replacing it with a retractable that you can install yourself - gunsmiths can charge 30-80 an hour with 1.5-2 hr minimum for something like that
what kind of .308 is it ?

You might try Hickman Rifles in Colorado Springs. They have done a number of projects for me and I have always been satisfied. http://www.hickmanrifles.com

I recently had some work done on my AR by T.J.'s Gunsmithing (http://www.tjsgunsmithing.net/) in Aurora. They did a good job and were reasonable priced. I'd go back.
