Hey guys, I'm posting this for Rossi Guiliani. He started the Denver Sportbike Riders Meetup group http://www.meetup.com/DenverSportbikeRiders/

I was too lazy to start one, so I'm glad he did. Obviously CSC is awesome, but as far as planning rides, meetup might be a better way to organize/schedule rides. Check it out.

...let the trash talking begin! haha

You should advertise the CSC on the meetup site for new people that don't know about this place yet.

Rossi is a new guy on the CSC that found out you can join this forum, but then have to wait an unspecified amount of weeks to post anything. Gay!

Yah, we'll def post the CSC info on the meetup.

I'm pretty sure your friend could have posted anywhere on the site immediately except for the "For Sale" section.

That doesn't sound right. Something must have accidentally happened when his account was created. :dunno: You, or he, may want to PM one of the admins? Try: Spiderman, rforsythe, Rybo or Mother Goose; they should be able to fix it for your friend so that he can post.

Rybo has the forum set for him to verfiy every member before they are allowed to post. This is for site security and to filter out spammers. Sometimes Rybo gets busy and is not able to verify right away. Other times he will verify a user within minutes.

I am sure Ralph or Rybo can elaborate. Cheers.

Well I posted up about the walnut room bike night this Wed...and someone already got pissed and thought it was rude since they posted also about quaker meetup.

Guess you can't let everyone know about different bike nights and meetups going on around denver.

Obviously CSC is awesome, but as far as planning rides, meetup might be a better way to organize/schedule rides. Check it out.

Obviously not a better way since I was being considered being rude by letting everyone know about another meet that happens to be going on the same day....one that is far more established and already has a great turnout, free prizes, etc.

WHA?!!! you mean to say that the CSC is not the end all be all of bike clubs?! You have the audacity to sit there and clue people in that there may be other groups out there? How dare you...

KSC logo, we found out they used the CSC logo to their likings instead of coming up with a new one, I believe that one got resolved.

Somebody should make a club for Colorado sportbike owners too, with like a logo and a Internet message center where they can talk about gear, motorcycles, women, women's boobies, and even setup sportbike meets in the appropriate area of Colorado. So like, I live in the pueblo, and somebody could arrange a meet in southern Colorado, and then post about it. I'd see it, and then post that I'll be there. We could call this section like The Dirty South or something. I don't know, it might not work, just a crazy idea I had once back in 1992.

I'll be a rebel and come to their defense a little bit here. Their 'mission statement' doesn't sound too off-the-wall, seems like good intentions, imo. As for the "don't bring a cruiser" part, I'm guessing they just don't wanna roll around with Harleys, Goldwings, etc., no biggie...

Hello, everyone! I was only waiting for my account to be approved! I moved here (back) to Colorado only last month, and hadn't found any groups for riding. I had used meetup in San Diego, CA and found quite a few awesome groups there to ride with. I live in Lakewood, so anywhere in the Denver Metro area, the only Sportbike riders are the kids that buy a bike, don't wear gear, and act like they are hot shit. I have no intentions of creating some sort of rivalry, but I seriously didn't know about this. It was only brought to my attention by Peter.

About the parts for cruisers, like I said, I don't have anything against them or the people that ride them, but, I don't like riding twisties with them. Sorry

About the "Finally, a sportbike meetup group!" It was originally because I hadn't really found the type of bikers I was looking for. You know, like, actual sportbike riders. Do you know how hard it is living in Lakewood to find sportbike specific information? I checked out moto stores, got every single different pamphlet, calendar, names I could find... Zip, Nada, Zilch.

I really don't plan on a competition, and honestly, we could work together. Meetup.com has an awesome events planner and member management system. If rides were posted on there, they are much more manageable.

Finally, to Slo, what happened with the Walnut Room bike night? I'm going to bet it was the Miatsu chick... she is very annoying, and I am to send her a message to STFU.

Anyway, any questions, you can PM or ask me here.
Keep the shiny side up.

No problem, she just mentioned she thought I was being rude posting up another bike night on the same night as hers. Figured there are multiple rides, and bike nights at times..... But to be honest, the quaker one I believe is a weekly thing and more cruisers while the walnut room is one for sportbikes and then anyone else on two wheels or four that wants to come. Much more established, giveaways, great people, etc.

Not a biggie, seen that you posted it right back up....if you make it out there, look for the Asian fella that goes by the name Slo and introduce yourself.

And... I don't think there are any issues with other venues for sportbikers to post up on. There are a few public ones but several private ones for many reasons.
