I'm looking to put in one of these. Does anyone have any suggestions on brands, where to buy, what to look out for? Does anyone by chance do this for a living, and looking to provide a deal/get some business?

I'd also be looking for an Electrician to run/install a plug in the attic....and perhaps some outdoor lighting too.

Was just thinking about this today. Interested in what people have to say.

I had one in my old house and it worked great. Spring and fall were fantastic since by the time you get home it is usually comfortable outside so turn on the fan and you are set. Weather like we are having now is not so great as it is late in the evening before outside is cooler than inside.

My brother is a master electrician with his own company, Carefree Electric.

Perfect. Thanks Jmetz. I'll definitely give him a buzz...

This is what I've got my eye on: http://www.wholehousefan.com/PRODUCTS/Energy-Saver-1700.html

It'd be nice to find/buy local, and of course, save some coin...

I would go in on this too. If we can find someone to give us a volume deal.

EDIT: @ birchyboy too

My neighbor just put one in from www.tamtech.com (http://www.tamtech.com) and likes it. Though in my comparison research, I'm thinking www.wholehousefan.com (http://www.wholehousefan.com) may have a better product.

I emailed them and they are willing to offer better pricing if multiple units are purchased.
