Anybody know the best way to help out or volunteer to help with the fires? I'm searching the web now, but not getting much info. I can take a few days off of work to help out (at least a little) but not sure what to do. I wasn't sure if I should just show up and go for it, or go through a more structured path.

Anybody got any info/suggestions?

Unless you have firefighter training you can forget about actually fighting the fires. You (and I dont mean this personally, I just mean untrained) would be more of a liability than a help on the fire line. However I would think there would be plenty of options with organizations such as the Red Cross to help the evauees and such.

If anyone was wondering, soldiers from Fort Carson have been and are beginning to be involved. Engineers with bulldozers etc and soldiers to receive formal training to be dispatched if necessary.

I don't care what I do, I'll hand people bottles of water, just want to do something.

Red cross website isn't really updated. Maybe I'll just drive there in the morning.
