You should kick your mechanic in the balls.

I know it's a little late to help you but... if you want some future assurance that you won't be stranded anywhere.

If you get an AMA membership (~$40/yr) and sign up for automatic renewal, you (and your family) get free roadside assistance with any vehicle you are travelling on/in.

I've gotten enough benefit from it in the last 4 years to pay for my AMA membership a decade into the future.

Plus if you have nationwide you'll get a %10 discount on your motorcycle insurance.

Plus a ton of other discounts and benefits.

Glad you got the bike home ok! Was it faulty installation, or chain failure? Stock or what chain?

Got the bike back home and called up the shop that put the chain on who will be putting a rivet master link on this time :D It might have come loose from a day of hard riding, but I was going pretty slow when it happened, which is great. No damage also, which is great.

Which shop? And not to start a commotion we don't need any shop bashing. We have enough of that.

I trust no one when it comes to chains, which is why I install the master link myself.

Well if he's like most guys with a bike and a set of tools...then he's on CSC offering his services.
