Took a run through Wind Cave National Park up here in Hot Springs, SD. They have free roaming buffalo in the park. I ran across this fella and figured I would stop and grab a couple pics.

I am living up here for the next 14 months for work. I thought about trying to run up to Sturgis, but my boss said the traffic is a nightmare to deal with. I am about 85 miles south of Sturgis and the Harley crowd is everywhere down here even.

That would be enough to make me request a transfer to anywhere EXCEPT South Dakota.

I miss my speedie...

For your winter project, I highly recommend you powdercoat the headlight buckets and upper triple clamp. Murder that bad jackson out!

*Also, if it hasn't been done already, there's a triangular engine bracket on the left side of the bike that should be done as well. Why it wasn't from the factory, I'll never know.

Have any pictures of yours? That is pretty funny, I know exactly which bracket you are talking about, and I agree, should have been black from the factory. I would like to powdercoat the upper triple clamp, but I am not sure about the headlight housings, I am back and forth on those. When I was riding Saturday, I noticed my reflection and the reflection of the sky and scenery flashing by on the housings and it looked pretty damn cool. Made me want to keep just a little chrome.

That is a great looking Speed Triple, love the green. Now I am even more undecided on the head lights, love the chrome, but love the blacked out look too.

I had planned on having the exhaust system ceramic coated black, but after I bought the strada I wasn't riding the S3 hardly at all so I sold it... and regret it.

I want to keep my 600RR because it was my first bike, and I love it about as much as you can love a material object. Not to mention, I have only seen 2 other 2007 pearl white RRs, one was PuneyJuney's and the other was a beat to s*%t, always stored outside nightmare.

My dad always tells me about awesome muscle cars he had in college and how he regrets getting rid of them. I don't want to have the same regrets later in life. I already feel like the Speed Triple will always be in my garage as well. It is too much fun, so different from my 600RR, not to mention it grabs attention like my Honda never could. That might have something to do with the CompWerkes exhaust being so damn loud or maybe because I am always riding around 2 gears low just to let the bike bark at everyone within a half mile.

just wait until you have your first "I rode a bonnie across the U.S. back in the 60s" conversation with some old biker... Those dudes are awesome and they have some crazy stories!
