This is the second Red Bull F1 video I've seen this morning.

Red Bull sings the national anthem: http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/sports/2012/08/17/f1-redbull-national-anthem.red-bull

Here's the first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXFGxCjehIY (190 through Lincoln Tunnel)

Do you like Red Bull?! (http://youtu.be/4h6iCn0301M?t=13s)

Funny how Red Bull is from Thailand with an Australian shareholder and the engine in that car is Renault which is French... playing the US national anthem...

I bet Scott Speed is kicking himself in the ass for leaving Red Bull to go to NASCAR right before Red Bull got on top.

I assume you are talking about the race team since Red Bull (the drink) is a 100% Austrian company

Well... yes and no. I grew up with Red Bull or Krating Daeng, in Thailand. I should know, that's it originated from there.

Chaleo Yoovidhya, the self-made Thai billionaire founded T.C. Pharmaceuticals. In the 1970s, it formulated an energy drink prototype called Krathing Daeng, or Red Bull in English. It was popular among Thai truck drivers and laborers.
Chaleo then co-founded a company in 1984 with an Austrian partner who helped turn Red Bull into a global brand. The creation of Red Bull was inspired by the tonic drinks category of Japan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan) and a drink in Thailand (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thailand) called Krating Daeng (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krating_Daeng). Dietrich Mateschitz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dietrich_Mateschitz), an Austrian entrepreneur, developed the Red Bull Energy Drink brand. Mateschitz was the international (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International) marketing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing) director for Blendax (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Procter_%26_Gamble_brands), a toothpaste (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toothpaste) company, when he visited Thailand in 1982 and discovered that Krating Daeng helped to cure his jet lag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_lag).[11] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull#cite_note-10) Between 1984 and 1987, Mateschitz worked with TCBG Pharmaceutical (a Blendax licensee) to adapt a flavor and marketing strategy for the European (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europe) market.
At the same time Mateschitz and Chaleo Yoovidhya (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaleo_Yoovidhya) founded Red Bull GmbH (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gesellschaft_mit_beschr%C3%A4nkter_Haftung); each investing $500,000 of savings and taking a stake in the new company. Chaleo and Dietrich each held a 49% share of the new company. They gave the remaining 2% to Chaleo's son Chalerm, but it was agreed that Mateschitz would run the company.[12] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull#cite_note-11) The product was launched in 1987 in Austria, in a carbonated format.
In 1992 the product expanded to international markets: Hungary (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hungary) and Slovenia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slovenia).[13] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull#cite_note-funding_universe_history-12) It entered the United States via California (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California) in 1997[13] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull#cite_note-funding_universe_history-12) and the Middle East in 2000.[14] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull#cite_note-13) In 2008, Forbes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbes) magazine listed both Chaleo and Mateschitz as the 260th richest people in the world with an estimated net worth of $5 billion.[15] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull#cite_note-14)[16] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull#cite_note-15)

So... You are saying that Red Bull is not a 100% Austrian company?

Good question... I never really thought that S.S. had the skills to compete with the F1 grid when he was in F1.

Now that he's in NASCAR, I still don't see it (admittedly only going by wiki-results, I don't follow NASCAR).

I know this is splitting hairs but while Krating Daeng is the drink that inspired Red Bull it is not the same drink. It was reformulated for Western tastes. Second, while one of the owners of Red Bull is from Thailand I still stand behind my statement that the company is Austrian.

It's like saying McDonalds in Japan is not McDonalds because it was changed to favors the Japanese flavors.

Austrian Red Bull is based off of Krating Deang recipe but watered down for the westerners. The real Red Bull is much stronger.
