I have a XR650L you are welcome to look at and ride around, however they are a completely different animal that the 650R. You did mean XR650R did you not ???

The 520 is like a grenade. Except it removes the firing pin itself and you're constantly in a battle to get it back in place before she blows.

Only problem I ever had with mine was my fault, otherwise it was the best dirt/supermoto I ever owned.

I had XR650l , very heavy for tight stuff,better for open roads,jumped some small stuf up to 5 feet and broked subframe,easy fix ,weld it easy.
feels more like roadbike with lots of workout .For fire roads its good or freeway . If you more in offroad id go with crf450 if it must be honda,seems like same power to ground ,but more fun in all-around (not for long milles on freeway)

Yes...I have a 2001 XR650R with about 50,000 miles of dirt on mine

ADVrider.com is your friend...I can count 6 XR650R's local to Springs that I know of...LOL
