I need some light welding and perhaps some platework (1/8") done to adapt a topcase rack. Anyone in CSC have access / and skill to reweld or cut and bend plates, and possibly some tube/rod bending?

thx

Bump ...

What I need is to bend the plate/tab in the opposite direction. (x 2 tabs). I don't have access to a sheet metal bender plus I'm not sure if cold bending will weaken the tab or not. So I was thinking one option is to cut it off and reweld it flipped around.

What is your time frame? My welder is out but will be back next week.

Is it steal?

Does it have to stay that same length or is it ok if its 1/4" shorter.

I agree with cutting it off and flipping it over if it will still work/fit if its a little shorter.

Yes it's steel. A little shorter (as little as possible) may work; though the rear slotted strut may require bending to fit the new angles. I'll contact you next week about this, Ez. Thanks.

Yeah, let me know.

I bet I could keep it as long as possible. Either way im sure we can get-er done.
