I'm seriously considering buying these boots but would like to try them on first. Does anybody know of a local shop that sells them? I've been to a couple of shops in the south-west area but nothing so far. Too late to call other shops right now. My range is pretty much anywhere, so?

I tried a pair on at 303 Cycle. This was last fall, so I would call before making the trip over unless they are close to you.

303 tends to stock those, give David or Wade a call see if they can help you out.

David is great. Always helpful, and anytime I have wanted something he doesn't stock, he has ordered it for me.

To the OP, A* in my experience fit very true to size, or maybe a 1/2 size big. I wear 12 in almost everything from cowboy boots to running shoes, and a A* in 12 is a good fit for me. I have both the SMX 5 and SMX Plus, the Plus are definitely worth the extra $.

I brought my pair at performance cycle, they had lots in stock to try on.

For some reason I always ignore 303 Cycle during my searches. I think it's because of the unexpected location. But I commute pass it everyday, and I will definitely check it out tomorrow.

It seems like Motorcycle Depot might stock them too according to its website.

I tried on the SMX-5 at Performance Cycle a while ago, but I don't believe I saw the SMX Plus on display. I have no doubt the fit will be the same - just would like to see/feel the $100+ difference before I buy.

Yea they're very helpful everytime I'm there and ask even the noob questions. They take time to explain it all properly. I have SMX 5 and they're awesome, the plus I heard are a great boot too. I remember they had the SMX 2 ankle street boot in stock right as A* released it so they gotta have this boot for sure.

$90 off the latest model!!! That's an automatic buy for me. I remember the Gixxer forum recommending going through Jason at STG. I'm going to shoot him an e-mail right now and hope. :wait:

I have a couple of these in size 45 (10.5-11)in Parker if you want to try them on. I might be talked into parting with my black ones for the right price. I really love these boots, especially the internal lacing feature, which is something I would not do without.

Just an update. 303 Cycle had them on display but not in stock. Performance Cycle did have them, so my memory was off.

I went through Mike at RidersDiscount and got a even better deal!
