Great phone by specs. Bigger screen (but still smaller than my Galaxy3S 4.8" monster), 4G-LTE, and supposably the thinnest smartphone? Sounds awesome, IF you're one of those Apple people, I'd jump on it. Not me though...

Not impressed at all but the lemmings will flock by the thousands to buy one just because it's apple. They could market a empty brown box and the apple followers wouldn't even question it they would just buy it and tell everyone what a great box it is?

I guess Mrs. Clovis and I are one of those lemmings. We both got the 4 when it came out 2 years ago and it's been the best phone we've ever used.

I like the size, the features and everything it offers. Can't wait for Sept 14th to preorder! :) We both have ipads but that's it as far as Apple products. I would never buy a Mac for example.

My beef is that the processing power has lagged the last couple years. It makes me not want to buy because after a year or two, the hardware will be too slow to handle the software updates that match the newest iPhone. But now I'm assuming they're fast enough to handle that kinda shit now.

I went with android last summer because they were far faster at the time

Don't get me wrong, the iphone had its day in the spotlight but its long over. Adding Siri and a faster processor is not going make up for the dated OS. The only thing that keeps them going is the die hard following. People need to stop drinking the apple juice :guinness: ......:lol:

And that ipod nano is just apple trolling, or the first signs they can't survive with out Jobs at the helm, threatening and firing people for silly things. It's bad enough it's fucking ugly, but the UI is too visually different than the other touch screen devices they have had, it just looks like a Chinese knockoff of an apple device. The round icons vs the square with rounded edges...... It's just an amateur mistake.

i will say this. Apple or android. each has the thing its best at.

Android- everything else but the use of a phone. Ive have 15 plus phone in the past 4 years. android is the worst at using the phone as a phone.

Apple - phone first, then everything else. the phone and text messaging on the iphone4s has been the best out of any android ive ever used or had. would i use this phone to ssl into my environment? probably not.

Android has more options. and more customization period. if you think otherwise pull your head out of your ass. but all those extra abilities can cause issues. As far as im concerned. if you want a phone for a phone. ( and want the flash ((not adobe))) get the iphone. if you want a pocket computer that has options for washing the laundry. then get an android.

I still have my Iphone 4 never got the 4gs i like the 4 just fine after owning a few androids i prefer the Iphone, ive noticed with the android after time the phone becomes slow and requires software updates up until they come out with a new phone in which your phone is obsolete gets slow and does not get any more software updates and you have to but a newer droid in order to be fast again. I've been using my Iphone 4 for almost 2 years now and have only had to reboot it once, my wife got her android the same time as i got my iphone and after the first year that thing took a downward spiral it is now a total POS its slow, it doesn't download pictures, it just all around sucks ass.

I can Swype faster than I can "point & peck", plus I use my HTC more like a mobile computer than make phone calls, so Droid for me. But I love my Macbook Pro vs my work Thinkpad.

Yes the Droid takes a shit every once in a while but I attribute that more to the apps - usually the FB app. If there was a better way to vet out or beta third party apps I'm sure the bloatware and crashes could be minimized.

I was listening to a piece on NPR this morning about how Apple is betting the iPhone 5 on LTE will be the fastest. But will that still be true once the Apple fanboys flock to LTE and start gobbling up bandwidth? Right now ATT lags behind VZW in terms of LTE footprint, they had better keep ahead of the demand if the iPhone 5 is expected to take off.

There are two things i hate about my iphone 4.

1. NO FUCKING SD CARD. ARE YOU KIDDING ME APPLE?
2. it takes a fucking computer program engineering doctorate from MIT to make a your own ringtone and put it on your phone( not really but it is way more convienient on a droid).

other than that iphone kicks droids ass. my iphone runs WAYYY smoother then all my friends' droids, new or old.

People would just buy the 16G and use SD cards, so by not having a slot they can make more money off the bigger phones. Makes sense to me, but the iPhone 5 might feature a slot though
