Asp's suggestions are good, and allow me to add:

- For innovative: Salt Bistro, Oak at Fourteenth, The Kitchen, or Black Cat Bistro
- For a Mediterranean slant: The Med
- For laidback but tasty: Foolish Craig's
- For vegetarian: Leaf (I'm a meat eater, but it's pretty good)
- For uber-fancy: Frasca
- For pizza: Pizzeria Locale (there's a cute Ducati pic on the ceiling in the bathroom)

I've thought OB's has gone downhill. The last few times I've been there this year the food has been downright terrible. And the beer selection is poor and overpriced (at Lyons, at least). No offense to the people who dig it, but I have to give it a -1.

But, you've gotta love Hwy 7 over Boulder Canyon...

I couldn't agree more.

The best thing going about OB's is their location and available parking (for motorcycles). Other than that, I have a hard time justifying the food, and the absolutely TERRIBLE service. On average, I sit and wait (after asking to be helped) for 20 minutes before I can flag someone over to take my/my party's order. Maybe some of you guys are more patient than I, but even after unwinding from a extremely fun ride up and/or down 7, after 20 minutes I'm looking for some attention... hahaha.

Many of the recommendations for Boulder restaurants in this thread are solid, but I thought I'd send a few more!

+100 on "The Buff (http://www.buffrestaurant.com/)" (yet again, the close at 2pm)

Another great breakfast/brunch spot is called "Snooze (http://www.snoozeeatery.com/boulder)", they close at 3pm.

Lunch Spots:

Boulder Creek Market (http://www.bouldercreekmarket.com/) delicious gourmet sandwiches. If you go, I STRONGLY recommend the wild boar sandwich on rye! I try and get one every few weeks!

Boulder Cafe (http://www.bouldercafeonpearl.com/) Right on Pearl, and they have a great happy hour!

Chez Thuy (http://www.chezthuy.com/) Asian / Thai / Delicious. Food quality is upscale, but atmosphere is casual.

Dinner Spots:

Frasca (http://www.frascafoodandwine.com/) Upscale Italian

The Med (http://www.themedboulder.com/) As others have said. Just great.

John's Restaurant (http://www.johnsrestaurantboulder.com/) Arguably one of the best fine-dining restaurants of the state. The only other restaurant on par is The Flagstaff House (http://www.flagstaffhouse.com/). Both of these restaurants are approximately between $60-$120 per seat. These are restaurants you are going to want to make a reservation with, in addition to formal (not a suit, but fine dining) dress code. I understand this isn't the type of place you're going to want to go after a ride, but I just couldn't leave it out of my "best of" Boulder foods. This is a common restaurant for anniversaries, etc.

Phew, I'm sure I'm leaving out about 50 more awesome places... but either way- it's pretty hard to go wrong in Boulder!
