Weather is looking pretty decent in most areas this weekend. Highs of 55 to 69 with skies ranging from cloudy to sunny.

Anyone interested in one last horrah for the year?

How is the route for fuel stops? My limiting factor is it takes fuel to make power and if I am running the backroads 120-130 miles is about it between stops... mid 30's is about the best mpg it will do.

I hate droning down the highway so I've never tried cruising at light loads to see how far it will stretch.

Moved it to next weekend. There's fuel stops available every 100 miles.

Next weekend as in the 6 and 7? I may be interested if I get my bike fixed in time. I want to do one more ride before it gets cold.

Yes, that weekend. Be sure to dress in layers and leave room in your bags to stow it when it warms up.

Right now the weather forecast looks decent (no rain) with highs ranging from 55 to 70 which means its going to be cold in the morning and warm up by late morning.

I'll keep an eye on it. I think born wild n free (Christie) is in.

I'm out for the over niter part. My mom says I can't go if there is a girl. I'm up for meeting you guys in Durango or something on Sunday and riding to the end of 92 with you all. Let me know when and where to meet in Durango.

Christie can't make it this weekend so it's just me so far.

Weather looks shitty. Guess the season is over now that we're getting snow.

Weather permitting, I am open to make a trip like that the last weekend in October! Have fun if you go, it looks very beautiful ride.

Typically the last weekend would probably be too cold or have snow. I ran this Oct 14/15 last year and it was great. The next weekend was good too but then the snow came.

you look again?

Winter storm warning goes in effect at noon Friday for the high country. System moving in from the south. 4-8 inches forecast for higher elevations.

I had hoped to get a 500mile weekend in running to GJ and back - guess not :(

Yep... go figure.

Two options then.

The following weekend (Oct 20/21) looks good so far but the forecast is 10 days out so who knows.

Other option would be to stick to the southern section and just run through Taos to Farmington and then return home via the same route.

All though my new gaming rig arrives tomorrow so I'm tempted to stay home and game anyways. My current machine, great for it's time, is 5 years old and just not cutting it.

The new one however... :)
