I rode into a real mess of oil and sand that soap and water would hardly touch. Didn’t want to damage any finish with a degreaser so tried Turtle Wax F21 Spray-On Wheel Cleaner. It did a great job on the wheels, brakes, frame, engine cases and exhaust with no damage to the finish. It’s cheap at $3.19 for a 26-oz. spray bottle at K-Mart. Over-spray did not damage my plastic but don’t use it directly on painted ABS or any spray painted surfaces. It didn’t do any damage to factory painted surfaces like the frame or case covers.
