:multi: :bananna: :hump: :yay: :bday:  :silly:

Mark this on your calendar!!!

When: Saturday October 11th, noon until 5-ish
Where: Clement Park, Littleton (off Bowles, just west of Wadsworth (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?addtohistory=&country=US&address=bowles+at+long+dr&city=littleton&state=co&zipcode=&historyid=&submit.x=0&submit.y=0))

Children and significant others welcome! This is definitely a family-friendly event!

Clement park is easily accessible from C-470 by either Wadsworth (from the south) or Bowles (north & west). Use Mapquest to get directions (http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?2l=qgWw1csqnvQ%253d&2g=UNm%252bIKheYcsoa9av1utvnA%253d%253d&2pn=&2ic=31&2ex=1&src=maps&2a=W%20Bowles%20Ave%20%26%20W%20Long%20Dr&2c=Littleton&2s=CO&2z=80123&2y=US) best suited for you.

Clement park offers many amenities suitable for this type of event:
- sheltered picnic areas
- several playgrounds
- skate park
- restrooms
- and more... (http://www.ifoothills.org/ifoothills/Clement_Park.asp)

There are BBQ grills there, so bring whatcha want to grill (I'll supply the charcoal). I'm planning on having a some extra burgers & dogs just in case. Tania will be coordinating side dishes & desserts with whoever wants to contribute - she'll be posting about that later. I'll also have some extra sodas, but for the most part, this is a BYO thing. As far as alcohol goes, NO GLASS CONTAINERS (& Please Drink Responsibly).

We're not sure yet which picnic shelter we'll be at yet (we're hoping to get the one beside the skate park), but make sure you enter the park via W. Long Dr. (off of Bowles), follow that road behind the library & through the first 2 parking lots, then turn right followed by an immediate left into the last parking lot. I'll put up black & white balloons at the edge of the parking lot near the shelter, and I'll try and put up the CSC banner somewhere visible.

"kids don't try this....or that.....or that..... or that...... at home......or ever actually"No room for wheelies (unless they're really short, but I don't want us to get kicked out of the park - that would suck). Besides, that's not what this is about, anyway. There might be room for a couple of stoppies, tho. :D

I have a small 120v inverter for the truck if you can keep the power under 140 watts or so... Usually the parksites don't have electricity, FYI. Alternatively, if someone has a bumpin stereo in their ride we could just roll the windows down and pop on some tunes.

I've tried that. As soon as you turn it up it blowes the fuse.

I was thinking someone might have one of those small, quiet generators.

The car is the easiest if we can park it near the shelter.

I was thinking someone might have one of those small, quiet generators.

Most of the racers on here do.

The car is the easiest if we can park it near the shelter.

Most of these places have a path you can drive down with, to unload/etc. If that's there I see no reason not to leave a car there for the tunes. Otherwise, quiet generator it is.

I will try and get the full day off so I can be down there, I have to get rid of the rest of my paid days off before the end of the year, so I am wasting them like crazy.

Anyone heard about our crazy ride downtown last night?
It must of been right after last call at most of the bars, becuase people started coming out on the streets. There were 9 of us on bikes and someone in a jeep grand cherokee throws a burrito at a girl on the back of one of the bikes. The girl caught it and threw it on the ladys windsheild. The lady then swerved her suv at one of the bikers, who pulled up to her at the next light and punched a big dent into her passenger door then he ran the red light. Of course the first red he ran had a cop sitting there, so the cop flashed him and he pulled over, but he got no ticket. Crap like this causes problems.

Ralph or S-man - PA?There is an outlet, but I didn't have anything with me to test if it actually had power (or there was some secret hidden switch that only park employees knew about that so they could use it when they needed it.

I'll see if I can swing by today and check it out.

Also, I'm not sure if we need a PA - music would be cool, but I don't want it to be overpowering. A decent boom-box would probably be sufficient.

I'm glad everyone had a good time! Sorry for those of you that missed it, but don't worry, we'll definately be doing that again! Yesterday's turnout far exceeded my expectation at high-count (around 2:00 PM) there were probably 40+ people there), and at 6PM (1 hour after it officially ended), there were still about 20 people there.

Thank you to everyone that showed up & helped make this a success!

If anybody had photos, please email them to me at webmaster@CoSportbikeClub.org (Nate, I've already got yours - thanks! )

Here are the ones I took:

Thanks everyone. I would have brought something, but you know I’m single and can’t make toast. Bob, I’ll get some cash to you for my shirt.

I put urls not img links to make it modem friendly but I guess the administraors know best   No, I'm just trying to impose my own idealistic views of how the internet should be used. :P :silly:  And by modem, I suppose you mean dial-up connection? If there's anyone out there that's still on dial-up (and I'm sure there are some), I have only this to say (in the illustrious words of Mr. T) "I pity the foo'!" :D

I guess big brother is watching! :D or is it big Ralph  :wtf: "Big" & "Ralph" in the same sentence? :spit: I don't think so - we're talking Mr. Team Skinny himself!
