Picked up a mini over the past weekend after I discovered I can upload my go pro footage right off the SD card and they made the ipad compatible to edit videos. My MacBook is old and can't handle it anymore. I forgot to buy the adaptor so last night I decided to record the ferrets goofing around and do some small editing there. To be honest I am getting tired off IMovie as there aren't a ton of options to utilize to enhance the effects of the movie but I'm sure some apps will start being made for editing on the new iPads. If any of you know of any let me know ill check em out. As far as the smoothness of editing on the ipad though it is very nice and its a huge upgrade from the MacBook. The uploading time was much faster as well.

Here is the video, http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=nWLDG8c9-i8

I could have sworn I selected upload in 1080p but I guess I didn't so the highest is 720p.

Edit: just found there was an update I didn't install for iMovie a d that's why the 1080p didn't upload.

Link didn't work for me, but maybe I need a Youtube account to view it.

On a related note I love my Ipad and use it more than my home PC. Haven't tried the mini yet.

I have the ipad4 w/ iMovie and the sd card adapter. However I have yet to use it for movie editing. I am heading to southeast Alaska near in a week or so. So maybe I will get some good weather and tug footage to play with. Well see.

Let me know how you like it for gopro editing.
