I think it just illustrates how simplified Bidens answer was. If you have never used a weapon and you take his advice to heart (with no training). I think this is fairly typical of what most ladies would get on their first firing (again, with no previous training).

If you take Biden's advice to heart in its entirely, you're going to jail even if you scare off the intruder. If you don't scare them off, well, you're proper fucked.

I know a woman that has a 12 guage for home protection. I don't see the issue.

I don't think there IS an issue if someone has had some sort of training with the weapon they intend to use. I think shooting one for the first time would often result in what was in that film. It seems most of those ladies were pretty unfamiliar with the weapon they were firing.

Also, my wife has a Mossberg and does fine with it.

Exactly. And what idiot is going to buy a weapon to defend themselves with and NOT train themselves with it?

So there is no issue.

Honestly.... I have seen and heard of plenty of people that have a weapon in their house and have never shot or cleaned it. But, "they have it for home defense." Seems like a recipe for greater injury to me.

This is probably a huge reason people want gun control laws. Those people are feeding the idea, which is obviously true by your admission, that people who are unqualified to use a weapon own them. It doesn't sound like a recipe for injury, it sounds like they are going to get someone innocent killed.
