If you pry a corner piece out all the pieces come apart and you
can put it back together complete.

Hahaha... I once pulled all the stickers off and replaced them correctly!!! Yup, that was as close as I ever got too; then the thing just sat there for years like that

I did have a woodshop teacher in HS that could do one in less than 5 mins. he had this book on it he was always reading.

So glad our generations have way better games...like Modern Warfare on PS3/Xbox360! :D

Way back when (i.e. when it came out), I was able to do it in well under a minute. In fact, I eventually got so bored doing it with my hands that I started seeing how fast I could do it with my feet.

I'll go off and nobody wants to hear it here considering the "Get in Shape Thread" is vacant nowadays. But who needs good health when you can have Assault Weapons...right dirkterrell...much bigger problems evidently!

Although you see me and it can be done; I go to the gym then come home and plays games when I am too tired to get off the couch. Just got done beating Max Payne 3 and was awesome game...Crysis 3 will be the next one

I finally solved one a few weeks ago.

The hardest part is remembering the algorithms. I cheated and looked up the algorithms on the internet, There is no way I would have been able to solve it without them.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? That is it funny how much everyone gets worked up about gun laws on this site, yet obesity is the real issue in this country. Every post on guns gets a lot of replies, but trying to get anyone into fitness here is nearly impossible....and pretty much country wide

No offense to you (since I have no idea on your health), I just notice you are one of the ones that always post on gun threads and posted above me on this thread :D

I did the whole sticker thing when I was a lad... Bad part: I was so young that I couldnt even put the stickers back on straight.

I am going to try and tackle this one next

I'll heed Ezzzzy1's request not to plug up his thread by discussing the concept of individual freedom.

I'll heed Ezzzzy1's request not to plug up his thread by discussing the concept of individual freedom. I can respect that. I'd love for you to discuss it with me in the "get in shape" thread so I can show you how "individual" choices of bad health is messing up this country way more than guns; ex: healthcare, disability, cardiac arrests, diabetes, rising need for doctors, etc....

Were you aware that in 2010 they proved that God's Number (the minimum # of moves to solve any arbitrarily mixed up Rubik's Cube) was 20 (Rokicki et al, 2010)? That is, not coincidentally, the graph diameter of Rubik's graph.

If you can't do it in 20 moves (Dirk) you are failing. You now have something for a new challenge - solve the cube in 20 moves every time.

I hadn't followed it much after losing interest in it. Interesting details (and source code) at

So THAT is why all the youngsters are going with ice hockey instead of field hockey? It is a crab abatement policy. Here I thought there was just some generational biased attraction to prepubescent girls.

Are you offering guidance?

bulldog
Fri Mar 22nd, 2013, 08:04 AM
Are you offering guidance? Yes sir! Since the "get in shape thread" started in 9-22-11 I have been a huge part in trying to help..the key word there may be trying as I am not for fad workouts/diets and believe in hard work and a proper diet and not everyone wants to do it this way or agrees with the methods I use; however I can back it all up with the results I have made through the years. I went from a skinny twig with a beer belly into the best shape of my life. I've also dedicated my life to researching fitness and have a lot of friends that are willing to help too. Disclaimer: I have no degree in it, but know people I can go to for the stuff that are personal trainers, but overall I am in better shape than 90% of the personal trainers in my gym.

I've kind of given up trying to help as most people don't seem to want it, but if you do need assistance I can help you out....not sure if that was what you were asking.
