I have a buddy back in Kansas that has a business doing hydro graphics. If you are not familiar with hydro graphics, check out what it is and how it works.

Lee dipping some game calls (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EOAL8Fgy7Y)

Here is a hand.... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP7BKHU4WUc)

This process is pretty darn cool. A lot of people back in Kansas have some pretty bad ass customized parts (helmets, pegs, bolts, swingarms) on their bike.

Just thought I would throw this process out there for everyone to admire and fantasize about what you would dip.

My understanding is that after you dip an object you clear coat it as you would normal paint as many times as you want.

They guy who did this in Wichita did a bunch of things for free cause he is a fellow biker. The prices I have seen him quote seemed reasonable. I think he dipped and finished a Busa tank for $150.

you aren't a fan of what they did to the gun or the product itself?

I guess I just like my guns and bikes clean... No noise. If I had a hunting rifle I would probably let them do some camo work on it.

I have two buddies that did parts of their bike and some guns and the product is probably not tough enough for what you are thinking. Great for car parts that dont see any wear but not that great for guns that get holstered and bike parts that would get rubbed or scuffed.

That's what I was wondering, I know nothing about this stuff so I want perspective from someone who does. Do the people you know put clear coat over it?
