Hello everyone,

I'm trying to put together a nice fun ride for next weekend. Here is what I have so far..

Starting at MOCO 9am
- http://goo.gl/maps/f31ni (http://goo.gl/maps/f31ni)

Longer ride full of fun roads and great views. Let me know what you think and I can make adjustments as needed by the group. Ignore that part near winter park.. google maps thinks we're riding some slops or something lol.

Suggestion.. do this in a clockwise direction. You'll get to skip the tourist lineup getting into RMNP from Estes. Plus the sweepers over Berthoud are better going south to north.

Berthoud pass is undergoing road repairs, expect slow traffic and loose asphalt debris on the Grand County side. The Clear creek side of the pass is nice and clean.

That's a fun route. I also recommend going clock wise.

Be aware that RMNP cost $10 to get in. But it's a blast if traffic is defent. Roads are pristine and well maintained.

Watch out for the Rangers. They're all running radar but tend to be congregated at the entrances. At least if you get a ticket it's a fine only with no points.

I believe the section of gravel is between Lyons and the junction with P2P, not on Tom's route.

Hey all, been a busy week - sorry for the slow response.

So just to clarify, the only gravel is highway 7, outside of the current route?
Also, everyone OK with the fee to get into the park? I didn't even think of that >_<

Either way, clockwise sounds good to help avoid traffic. Looks like we have a large amount of people down to participate which is awesome! We'll have to stop at one of those scenic spots and snag a group pic or something ehh?

I like starting at 9!!! But, how long total do you think this will take to do?

Does the park take card or cash only?

I believe the bikes should do fine at that altitude. Payment for fees and passes must be by U. S. currency, coin, check (payable to the National Park Service), or American Express, Visa, Master Card or Discover credit cards. Debit cards are accepted by the park. Also, google claims 6 hours total but I expect less. I'm packing some water along with expecting to grab some food on a break or something.

See yall in the AM!

where's our picture on top? Wind almost blew me over!
Good meeting and riding with you all...we got mixed up coming out of the park, and looked like Kerry and Pat were heading toward Devil's Gulch so I split it off to Alenspark and highway 7 home. It's freshly paved and nice and smooth!!!

And..... Pics! http://imgur.com/a/s7SBh
Let me know if you want any in full resolution..
If anyone else captured some nice shots, post em up!

Yeah the second half of the ride definitely was more interesting. As much as I enjoyed the views from RMNP, I enjoyed the sweepers with no traffic better!
