Obviously both people aren't of sound emotional control, but the biker had several opportunities to let it go, and he didn't. In fact he aggressively tried to escalate the situation, for no apparent reason that I ever saw (Did the car ever really do anything wrong?) I almost wouldn't find fault in what the car driver did, I think it'd be reasonable to expect the motorcyclist and his buddies would chase you again, and try to assault you again, in which case you have to protect yourself.

True, many opportunities to just let it go, but neither didn't. At the same time, being on a bike, I'm always willing to let things go a little more than usual. Too easy to be bumped and become a victim.... Dumbass should have never gone up to the door either...
