2014 GSXR 1000 SE

So to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Suzuki they are releasing a limited edition GSXR 1000 with 100 units available. My first thought was kick ass! A Limitied Edition Gixxer with lots of high end Yosh and Ohlins parts. Nope, chrome frame, wheels and some anodized crap. Very squidly Suzuki.

I've owned several Gixxers and they'll always be special to me, but this was a great chance to roll out a bike that comes stock with a full Yosh pipe and lots of trick Yosh parts. Instead, they give us this crap?? A true special edition, with Ohlins suspension and Brembo MC and monoblocs would have been very sweet and worth looking into

I would take a certain bet that the majority of people throughtout the country that own sportbikes don't give a flying shit about better suspension, brakes, or what exhaust is on there as long as there's something other than stock that makes noise.

i guarantee there are more stock sportbikes around than modified. In all honesty I don't really see anything wrong with this new one. Ya it's a lil flashy, so what?!?

I call bull on that. There's a reason that the manufacturer that wins the most races sells the most bikes the next year.

I dont know... I think looks sells more new bikes to the masses. Its not like anyone really gets to test drive the shit out of a bike before buying it.

Second might be some of the newer technologies, maybe but when someone walks into a motorcycle shop and sees something "they have to have" thats the one. Probably because of the design or the color scheme but when you know, you know.

The ones up until the last 3 years ago were all pretty badass looking. Then you have this crap.... It sort of reminds me of the 500's.

The Repsol and Fiat editions are sexy as hell. This GSXR isn't even worth mentioning in the same sentence as those two. It looks like a mid 90s Star Boyz edition.
