should of taken extra precautions and yeah it happened to us, unfortunately! just wanted to give you guys a heads up since some of you sell and buy from CL. We were selling an iPad and they bought it with $500 counterfeit money. My husband looked at it and knew right away but it was too late as he tried to grab the Ipad from them but they yanked it back and drove away. Plus he didn't want to get run over, so he just let them go. Got their license plates and phone number. Reported everything, lets just hope these bitches get caught. #pissed and venting

Here's their number, so you know what to avoid!!!!! Could be a fake number too. 720-588-7020

That's a huge step, you'd be amazed at how dyslexic citizens get when it comes to taking down license plates.

@OP I'm sorry that you got scammed, but glad you could give some details to the five-o.

That sucks...sorry to hear this. I sold my Surface Pro recently. I stopped on the way to the meet and bought a counterfeit marker to check the bills. When I got there a lady showed up with a fistful of cash. I marked $660 worth of $20's and they all checked out. I did stop and launder about half of them at MicroCenter on the way home just to be sure :)

first place I'm going with fake bills is the gas station…filling up the pickup…no pun intended but 'pass the buck'...

If you google the number it's on a bunch of escort lists and weird groups, they might get busted for more than counterfeiting - https://www.google.com/search?q=720-588-7020+

Is it legal to post the plate number and type of car, so we can all be aware of it?

Perfectly legal.

I just met with a guy off of CL that sold me his personal vertical grip from his service M4.
Grip pod GPS-02 (military model) worth around 150 new. Got it for $25. Threw him an extra 20 because he didn't realize how much it was until he looked it up to tell me the model.
Not all CL listings are scams, but it does seem to be more common.

It would've been a good payback for someone to "use her services" and pay with her own counterfeit money. "lol"

Unfortunately it's hard to prove a criminal case of passing forged bills, because it's so easy to defend against by claiming ignorance. However her actions once you told her they were forged speak volumes.

Has anyone done anything to her yet? Called? Scammed her back?
