It seems like the ignition cylinder has a sticky contact or a short. Try giving the keyhole a shot of WD40, then put the key in and turn the switch back and forth a few times. If that fails and you have decent mechanic skills, here are instructions about how to troublshoot the switch.

My neighbor has a Honda and the key wouldn't turn the ignition due to the cold weather. After moving the steering wheel side to side several times the ignition finally freed itself. Im guessing that you probably fixed the problem by now? If so, Let us know.

Does it stay on, or does it stay on for about 5 minutes and then everything goes off?
Have you added anythink like an inline pre-amp to the car? It could also be a IPDM (Not sure what that is but found on google as things that can cause an issue). It could also be the ignition.

It was the amp causing all this problem. Thanks Quality Auto Sound for a crappy job.
