If he really wanted to push it, you don't have the right to call your lawyer from the scene.

the cop clearly did not want the attention due to his rear-ending the bike... the rider did the right thing and cut him some slack, would be a losing battle anyway

Well Aaron we don't really have ANY rights according to officers. I'm going to post a bunch of videos.

There are so many videos of officers out of control its ridiculous. Officers shouldn't be held to a lower standard of the law. They should be held to a higher. I'm other words when the commit a crime it should carry a heavier weight. If they do it with a badge on it should triple. What's the line cops love to use? Something to do with ignorance of the law?

I hate cops with a complete passion. First because the the only real thing cops have any real feeling for is their so called brotherhood. Cops are by far the largest gang in the world. If a officer doesn't fit in with that he gets booted one way or another.

But there is hope.

No that's called being a bitch and not standing up for his. The cop is at fault for not paying attention, the rider was clearly yielding to the car on the left. Since when are they above the law? Its cause of shit like this that they keep doing what they want.

I guess I just have a more forgiving attitude, I know my rights and I'm not a bitch. I don't want to be enemies with the cops, although I do "bend" the law quite often, I'm not hurting anyone. Turn about is fair-play, I didn't see any damage

No I can't really say I blame the guy. I have have hatred for cops as I have shared over and over again but when I get these guys I just shut up and let them thump their chest. There is no point. The film from their cars disappear. You can will be taken as evidence and even if you are able to get it back in a timely matter you can count on your SD card missing or the footage errased. It will be left to your word against an officers. In the courts eyes cops are gods and would never lie. No point in facing some trumpted up charges. Therr is no fix to this unless cops are actually held to a higher standard. When they are caught breaking the law they need to not only be fired but charged with a crime. Cops know the law they just choose to bend it at will to get their way.

Things are starting to change with everyone having the abilities to record anything at any time. I was happy when the supreme Court ruled in favor of allowing people to record police. But really nothing has changed and officers use obstruction charges for whatever they want. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. What doesn't change is the fact the officer doesn't face any repercussions from falsely arresting anyone. Can claim ignorance and maybe take some anger management classes and yes right back out on the street.

Native no I haven't changed anything in a few months.

Oh no I totally agree bro. Cop was out of line.

Native

sure, he was out of line, I was kind of surprised because the rider gave him exactly the same reaction that I would have. I would have probably asked for his card in case there is minor damage.

Still hit it, makes no difference and then lectures the rider on how to ride and shit. Please, what an idiot. He has an endorsement for a reason. Then on top that fucked up attitude the cop comes out with, thinking he's king shit just cause he wants to guilt trip the rider into thinking it was his fault. Fuck that.

Oh I agree 100%. But cops are cops. They will win 99% of the time. The best you can do is make something like this as public as possible.
