Hey all.. haven't been around in a bit (sold my bike.. just got another one) and was wondering if we all still get together for bike nights?

I know we used to.. but that was a bit ago. Also have no idea who is even still around these parts! Forums look a bit dead.. but I'm assuming that's mostly due to um, winter.

We still meet up informally, but it isn't a set thing. We pick a time/date/place when someone wants to organize it. But Drano and I are down here, along with a couple others. Go ahead and plan one if you'd like, I'll be game.

I'm assuming once warm weather kicks in again things will pick up.

I don't think anyone would be opposed to meeting in the cold, you just won't see many bikes. Drano sold his because he's a pussy, and I can't ride for the time being haha.

Always with the derogatory comments regarding female genitalia. Blue balls getting to you much? I can only imagine what it's like to have something so close yet completely out of reach, and in your case it counts double. In a sexless relationship, and a super bike you can't even ride. Abstinence pacts suck, man, but there are things you can do aside from lash out at others. :jerkoff:

I won't have a bike until the end of the year, most likely, but, even so I'll try to be at most gatherings. It's more than can be said for Aaron, who never comes to them, something about his girlfriend not wanting him to hang around with other people who might corrupt his precious values. :321:

Thanks, Rabea, all is well. How are you? I sold my bike last November to pay some bills. I'll have a new ride by next winter.

Let me know if you want to take the Ninja out. You need to get a bike before then ;-)
I've been busy at work, which is good. Doesn't leave much time for many other things like reading the csc site. But will try to go to bike nights when they start again

I appreciate the offer. It's going to be a rough summer, but I think I'll weather it. Plus, it will make the day even sweeter when I pull a shiny, new RC8 R into my garage. :)

If I'm down south when a bike night is going on, count me in.

As long as I'm not working I'm down for a bike night.

Wait, what happened to the Ducati?

Traded it for a Toyota truck. It's a nice lifted 4x4. Needed a truck up here in the land of the mud.

Makes sense. I love the early 90s Honda's too, for me they were the bikes that paved the way for the sportbikes we ride now.

To me, I never considered those "sportbikes." I mean I'm sure they are, the CBR just ushered the look into a new era in my eyes.

LOL!! dude it was a joke.

Believe it or not, those GPz's weren't exactly slow. Could they handle well? Eh for what they were they did. Obviously not in the same vein as a modern sportbike with good suspension and fat sticky tires. For me though, the GPz will always hold a place in my heart. When I saw Top Gun, thought they were the baddest bike around(yeah I was only 6) but my first bike was a 1984 GPz1100, and it was a tank. Plenty of straight line pep, but not the greatest in the turns. Very heavy bike.

From what I could gather, the 1985 GSX-R750 was the one that pioneered the consumer sport bike look as we know it today, not the Honda. I will admit that I'm relying on the internet for my info, so I could be wrong.

However, the Honda might have been the first one you ever saw. The first one I saw was ridden by my sister's boyfriend. He was on a brand new Honda Hurricane doing wheelies down my street. It was awesome to behold!
