I have my CCW but I dont have a gun that is small enough to carry.
What do you all carry?
I am looking at the Ruger LC9

Just wanted to get a feeler of what you carry and how you like it.

Thanks in advance!

(I will shot and try out most likely before buying)

My mom carries the LC9 and it's a great shooting little gun. Make sure you're ok with a long double-action pull on it though. Some people hate it, some love it. It shoots pretty well for its size IMO.

I carry a Taurus PT140 Millenium and have an M&P40C on order right now ($219 OTD for a brand new one, I couldn't pass it up).

I carry an LC9 (has Lasermax for late night no need to aim home defense), hogue rubber grip, and I removed the mag safety so you can fire without the mag in place (this takes 30 mins and is just removing a piece). I'd highly suggest it but it definitely has a loooong trigger pull but that's sort of the point of a defense weapon though DA first shot SA following would be fine by me.

My daily carry is a Gen 3 Glock 26. I also have a Keltec P11 in 9mm that I carry when the Glock is impractical due to cover restraints. The LC9 is a good gun, but you should fire one before you buy, as the recoil can be pretty snappy(much like my Keltec).

I'm a big fan of the Springfield XD-S 9MM, there is a .45 also but I feel that's a lot in such a small package.

Definitely! Put in some slightly stiffer springs and you'll be much happier, these guys are THE guys for LC9/LC380 custom stuff and sell on Amazon now. http://gallowayprecision.com/ruger/lc9-and-lc380/

Anyone carry a .380?

I've heard good things about the new Glock 42 which is a 380. I held one a little while ago and it felt nice. Slim and easily concealed.

I carry an XDM 9c.

I just picked up a Sig P238 to use for CCW and I LOVE IT! I tried about 4/5 different guns before deciding on this one. My friend is selling his bodyguard, if you're interested. It's also a .380 and about the same size.

Depends on which model/color/style you get and if it's in stock. If you go to the model then specifications, it shows down towards the bottom the price.
Talk to Casey at Grand Prix and see what kind of deal he can get you on one. As far as my friend's bodyguard goes, not sure, but I will ask him. Definitely
less than the P238 though.

I carry a .380. Ruger LCP with an Uncle George pocket case. Its perfect. Rides just like a wallet. I also carry IWB Springfield Sub-Compact 9 but I feel like im juggling it around too much. Cant sit in the car with it for too long and im always self conscious about other people being able to see it.

Working in the industry has its benefits... ;) Also have the opportunity to pro-form a brand new Benelli for 40% off... Hmmm...

I have two that I carry for different dress types. I have the XDS 45. easily concealed under hoodies, pull overs, jackets, etc. I carry it at 4 0'clock IWB. When I am in jeans and a t-shirt or shorts I carry a Kahr cw380 in my front pocket with a sticky holster. Don't be too concerned with the caliber. 6rds of .380 on hand is better than 5rds of .45 in the glove box. Some people get a larger caliber and then its not comfortable to carry.

I have messed around with the new Glock but its about an inch longer overall than the Kahr. If you are looking for a pocket pistol I love the Kahr but if you want a good .380 to carry concealed IWB/OWB that Glock would be a good choice.

I have never seen any real deals at the Tanner gun show. Nice to go browse but still everything is pretty pricey.

This is why there doesn't need to be any type of gun registration in this country.
All they have to do is post up "Hey, show us your guns."

I did get a firearm.. but not a the concealed. We spent less. Dog tore off her nail Sunday and had no clue how much the vet visit monday was going to be.... so we shopped light. We ended up buying a .22 long rifle to have fun with.

Did see the LCP as low as 300.00

AKSU-74 in 5.45x39. Small, compact, yet fully concealable under a nice winter coat or a backpack in the summer. The 5.45 packs a punch and the wound cavitation is superb for self defense or CQB on a crisp night in the Ukraine or Chechnya.

Congrats! Now train, train, and train some more. Train standing, sitting, crouching behind cover, shooting while moving to cover, moving away from the target, weak handed, bright light, low light, after running a hundred yards...learn to shoot the basics first, then out of position, around obstacles, engage multiple targets, learn to prioritize. Always be learning.

Was a Glock 30S.

Now it's the Kahr CM9 w/ CTL.

Very concealable with 6+1, handles +p without an issue. Comfortable.

I just picked up the Ruger .380 LCP from Rapid Fire. Seems to be a solid CCW.

I have a few I carry depending on where I'm going. My two main ones are a Sig P238 when I go somewhere like downtown and am dressed up. The rest of the time a Bersa Ultra Thunder .45.

As Jim stated, train, train, train. Practice drawing your firearm and firing. I know many people that take the course, buy a firearm, and rarely go out and practice. let alone practice drawing and shooting….

LCP .380 or Kimber ultra cdp II or Springfield XDS. Different ones for different occasions.
