Did a 4 day camp and ride Moab thing on the heavy but small WR250X. Short story, WR ate the Pirelli Enduros for fun and I needed new tires to complete 300 miles off road.

Headed over to a very reputable shop in the area, but found them shuttered, so headed over to Moab Powersports. As far as I could tell, it's a family owned shop, and Doricca, the owner, turned out to be a very amicable and professional lady. I picked out Pirelli RallyPros for the front and MX Pros for the rear for a pretty good price, and got an additional discount along with their "tires bought are mounted free policy, even with wheels on bike" that spared me some loot to eat handsomely for the next few days. Within the time it took to go next door and inhale a chorizo burrito (try the Mexican place next to the Chinese restaurant-- mmmm), the WR magically transformed from a dirty, tire-less entity to a clean and freshly tire-shod entity. As far as tire changes go, it was pretty much instantaneous!

This place has all the little bits and bobs along with convenience accessories to make your trip nicer for home-town "it can wait until I can go there" prices.

+1 for Moab Powersports. They replaced my R/R on my KLX and saved my week in Moab

Hey Asp! When did you go? Did you happen to have a red MSR/moose getup and a silver helmet?

We went couple of weeks ago. Planning a return visit sometime perhaps fall, or next spring.

Same here-- ran into two riders with CO plates on the Shafer trail portion of(spaced pretty far apart), I was on a blue WR, my friend was on a gray KTM. Definitely planning a return trip later this year.
