Live Stream Okeanos Gulf of Mexico Exploration

The Okeanos Explorer is live streaming their exploration of the ocean floor in the Gulf of Mexico.

Looks like they are descending right now.

Anything in specific they're looking for or just one of those test runs?

Primarily they are looking at deep sea habitats and marine life.

Pretty amazing how little is known of the depths. They are ~1.3miles below the surface .. think about that, we can walk that far easily. Yet it's almost an alien world.

But for some odd reason modern technology can't find flight 370 and it's passengers

That kind of life adapts to the colder temps, pressures and lack of light. Pretty crazy how the life and surroundings change in such short distance... that plane deal is just one of those Bermuda triangle type mysteries dude, pretty insane.

Ascending now. Watched pretty much the whole dive. It was pretty interesting. Tomorrow they are diving 2 wrecks.

There are worse jobs than what those people are doing, that's for sure.
