Arai Helmet sizing

I thought that I read somewhere that the Arai Corsairs Medium and Large are the same size helmet with different size liners. Does anyone know if this is the case?

Anyone have experience changing one to the other?

I found a helmet that I have had my eyes on for a few years, its new, but its a medium and I need a large. I was thinking about buying it and putting the large pads in.

From what I have read, Arai has 3 size shells, S/M/L. All other sizes XS/XL/XXL are made by changing thickness of padding. I can't confirm this through Arai's site, but it is what I have found from other people asking the same question on other forums.

I dug a little more now that I am at my computer and saw this


...That being said. My "medium" Corsair V (http://viglink.pgpartner.com/mrdr.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fviglink.pgpartner.com%2F search.php%2Fform_keyword%3Dcorsair%2Bv&mode=) has a tag on the inside (under the liner) and the shell is a large. You can swap out pads and make it a medium.

Can anyone confirm that this is the standard?
