I know that there were threads about plasti dipping rims and other car parts etc. But I wanted to know if Plasti dip would work in these 2 cases.

So I got a used truck, a 2003 Ram 1500. Mostly in good shape but a few blemishes.

I was considering using plasti dip on the rear bumper and a part of the truck bed. I thought I would sand it down first (if needed) and then apply. Any thoughts, words of advice, or another route altogether.

Here is the pics of what needs work done. Above the light is some gunk that just wipes off with some goo be gone type stuff.

the bumper would turn out alright. jus spraying part of the bed surface though will be pretty noticeable. might be better off just using gloss white spray paint. im not sure why you wouldnt just use normal spray paint on that bumper though?

I was just trying to go with a cheaper method for now. I saw a bunch of stuff regarding plasti dip and thought it "may" be worth a shot. That's why I posted this to get opinions :)

For the rust spot, my buddy told me he used this on a few parts of his car, so that was an option too.
