I really don't like how Win7 operates. Every time I open Win Explorer I have to resize windows and it never holds my last settings. Anyway, now it is doing something new. When I open Explorer, it now has an icon (red arrow) in the lower left corner and all my folders are expanded. It started doing it this morning. Anyone know why?

Off the bat I would say you have/had a stuck key that change some kind of view options. I would power down and mash/clean all the keys (mostly alt, ctrl and shift) to see if that stops the weirdness.....now to reset explorer back to default view I would have to google-foo that.

There doesn't appear to be any way to have Explorer remember the previous window size unless you purchase/install an add-on program. Here's one that I found:

I think that mine has always shown the icon in the bottom left corner.

Just learned something new to turn off the icon you mentioned:

In Windows explorer, click on Organize, Layout.
Deselect "Details Pane"

That details pane is useful though!
