It's that time of year once again, for the annual Rocky Mountain Harley Davidson Toy Run to Children's Hospital!

CSC Meeting time is from 7am-8am at the County Line/Quebec Starbucks on Sunday Dec 4th! To get there, take C-470 to Quebec and head North one block. Starbucks is around the east side of the Safeway in the Willow Creek shopping center. You need to meet up with CSC at our pre-ride meeting spot if you want to ride with us, or else you likely will not be able to find us at the ride staging area - there are really that many people and bikes!!

Full information on the run itself is available here:
http://rmh-d.com/toy-run/

If you've never done this, I highly encourage you to participate! Every year the CSC's group gets larger, and all you need to do is bring an unwrapped new toy for the kids! Even though it's put on by the Harley dealership, every kind of bike imaginable rides in this thing including an ever-growing number of sportbikes. No matter how cold it gets, trust me when I tell you that the frozen digits and foggy faceshield are worth it when you see this thing in person and participate!

Why so early, you ask? Well, traffic is going to be nuts getting into the staging area. In addition, we will all have to register when we get there, which is going to take some time (basically it's a waiver signing thing), line up, park, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get completely staged until 9am or so. The ride departs at 10am, so this gives you some time to take in the scene, hang out, check out bikes, get a biscotti - whatever. We'll leave Starbucks around 8am, so if you aren't there by then you're on your own. If we don't show up in one complete group, we will NOT get placed together.

Unlike last year, preregistration is NOT an option this time!! Ride Registration starts at 8:30am at the Aspen Grove Shopping Center. Be early, or be in the back!

IF I can get my bike fixed in time, I will be all over this....if not, I might have to actually ride bitch with someone. Either way, I am planning on doing it this year.
Hey Princess, want a passenger on your new toy if I don't get mine fixed?

I actually dont mind being on the back for this ride to tell you the truth LOL but I would borrow someone elses bike if they werent planning on doing the run this year... but I recently sold my baby  gonna give racing a shot next year, made some dealings with Dave and will be taking that SV out. If it doesnt workout, I'm sure I'll have another SV (or another kind) of bike sooner than later.

Wicky has a bike, and you don't need to be buying X-Boxes and DVD players here. Some simple lego toys and stuff work too! Remember, there are kids of all age groups. You don't need to spend a lot of cash, just do what ya can.

I got to spend a LOT of time in the Seattle Childrens Hospital as a kid. Every time I do the toy run I get all choked up- it's a great feeling (First to be alive and second to be able to help the kids who are getting screwed out of their childhood by having to spend a large part of it in the hospital.

Kate and I will definitely be there! I might have to bring the WR along though... fooey ;)

No studs this year, Henry. I decided my commute was too long to safely do the snow thing again. I'll be on my WR450 and hopefully Kate will be on my GS.

If the snow lets up soon we shouldn't see much ice tomorrow morning and riding will be good. If it stops this evening we'll see a lot of ice and riding will be bad. If it keeps snowing through tomorrow morning, traction will be decent in fresh snow and slush for the torquier bikes and doable on the inline 4s. Not that I'm speaking from personal experience or anything....
